Title: Personal Sensor Networks as Input Devices

robopaint
Abstract:

Personal sensor networks are also known as Body Area Networks and consist of sensor placed on various parts or around the body. In this talk we look at a heterogeneous accelerometer based sensor network and how we use it as an interface device for entertainment, fitness, training and health applications. We will discuss the potential of sensor networks, some background, the technical issues and provide a demonstration of several game applications developed as a proof of concept.
