Key Responsibilities

Mxi is expanding and we have immediate openings for User Experience Designers. Acting as a lead design authority for new product features, you will provide overall design leadership to our software development teams. As a key resource, you will play a central part in conducting requirements reviews and product demonstrations with customers. You will provide detailed business and technical understanding to analyze requirements and define business processes and high-level product design specifications. In the course of development projects you will act as a core resource to provide design guidance and product feedback. You will also work with other Software Designers to define best practices and ensure continuous improvement of design activities.

Requirements

We will require someone with the following profile:

  • University degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent
  • 5-10 years experience designing software systems, preferably business applications
  • Experience eliciting requirements from various business experts and stakeholders
  • Experience translating business requirements into effective software solutions
  • Experience designing the interface, and interaction flow of web software applications
  • Experience working with web-based solutions using Java, XML, SQL and/or similar technologies
  • Experience designing database-driven business applications is an asset
  • Experience working within a product delivery lifecycle is an asset: requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, and cut-over through support
  • Must be able to obtain NATO Level II Secret Security Clearance
