POSITION SUMMARY

This is a unique opportunity to work with the User Experience Design team. As a Flash designer-developer, the successful candidate will work alongside full-time design and analysts to:

  • Build effective, demonstrable Flash prototypes to represent user experience design concepts, requirements and flows, product features and functionality.
  • Enhance the creative product with an eye for animation, design and usability.
  • Help develop code/prototype library for the company.
  • Create clean, reusable OOP code using both AS2 and AS3.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Inspire creative department with examples of cutting-edge Flash programming.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in an appropriate degree / diploma at the senior level with the Co-op option
  • Expert AS2 & AS3 knowledge
  • Must be a self-motivated team player.
  • Proven experience working on complex Flash projects utilizing a class structure.
  • Deliver code-based, dynamic animations.
  • Enjoy the challenge of creating something entirely new.
  • Experience working with video and connecting to data (database and XML).
  • Ability to work with Photoshop (optimizing images and importing layouts).
  • Talent for creating complex math-based animations (trigonometry, kinematics) is a plus.
