As a critical member of a small design team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of Momentous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development and testing of different distributed systems.
• Redesign existing systems to increase performance and plan deployment to avoid service interruption.
• Develop web applications to monitor and control the different distributed systems.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in object-oriented architecture and development. Strong design skills are a must!
• Experience working with relational databases, and strong knowledge of SQL.
• Solid understanding of client/server concepts.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.
• Experience using both Windows and UNIX operating systems. Should be comfortable with shell scripting.
• Experience programming using Java and/or C++.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET, Perl and PHP are assets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 3+ years programming experience in object oriented software development
