As a CAE PS consultant, you will assist our clients to meet the challenge of developing systems that enable humans to learn, use, and exploit technological advances in a variety of complex system based environments such as government, industry, transportation and commerce. The range of project activities which you may engage in include user requirements analysis, interface and workspace design, workload, situational awareness and performance assessments, user trials and human performance modeling in a variety of R&D and applied engineering settings. As our HSI services ensure effective linkages between human factors, personnel, training, and safety in system and capability development, you will often participate in multi-disciplinary team environments and may help conduct complex human-in-the-loop or live simulation exercises and virtual and field-based trials of real systems.
Candidates for these positions will have educational and work experience backgrounds in the following areas are invited to submit their resume to anet.greenley@cae.com:
- Education in a relevant human factors field, preferably with a graduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) with 2-10 years of practical applied experience.
- Regular participation in human factors professional associations, with eligibility to become a Certified Human Factors Professional in Canada or the USA.
- Human factors analysis and design experience in complex system environments (such as defence, transportation, aerospace and process control), and in industrial environments (including experience in plant design and control centre design).
- Experience in task analysis, interface and workspace design, human performance assessments, system and user evaluations, data analysis and report writing.
- Experience in “aerospace” or “navy systems” a major benefit.
- Familiarity with human factors and ergonomics design guidelines.
