Reporting to the Application Development Manager, you’ll be working on the Kinaxis RapidResponse web application. This application uses a rich Java client running in a web browser and communicating with a .NET based web server. It utilizes a wide range of standard Internet technologies, in particular XML, SOAP, and web services.

You’ll be asked to focus your analytical and problem-solving capabilities in several areas including:

• Analyze requirements, conduct research and develop prototypes of user interface and web server components
• Design and implement assigned features
• Unit test your modules and work with the test team to perform automated testing
• Investigate and fix customer reported product defects

Qualifications:

• BSc CompSci or equivalent
• At least three years of C# and JAVA programming experience
• Solid knowledge of object oriented technologies and design patterns
• Experience with:
  • Web application development on Microsoft platforms
  • User interface design and implementation
  • XML, XML schemas and parsers
  • HTTP, SOAP, web services, IIS, HTML, CSS
  • Microsoft .NET framework
  • Java Swing/JFC
  • Visual Studio, Eclipse, JUnit, NUnit
  • Knowledge of development standards and methodologies
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
• Self starter with strong initiative and results orientation
• Familiarity with manufacturing or inventory management would be an asset
