Presentation Synopsis:

While the tools and techniques that we employ as researchers and designers are largely unchanged, we are being forced to broaden our focus. As designers will be required to think in terms of service design and multi-modal interaction as many tasks and interactions associated with IoT span devices and contexts.

Speaker Bio:

Dominira Saul possesses a great deal of formal training in both the study of human behaviour and the design of human - machine interfaces. With a M.Sc. in User Interface Design from London Guildhall University, a BA (Hons.) in Psychology from Carleton University, Mr. Saul has had the opportunity to hone and perfect his skills as well as garner new techniques during his career with Akendi, Macadamian Usability, Maskery & Associates, as an independent UX consultant, and at his own consultancy in the London, England.

Dominira has designed user interfaces for products in a variety of domains, including web applications, web sites, desktop software on various platforms, public access kiosks, healthcare devices, telephones (PBX, VoIP and mobile), tablets, embedded devices and other consumer electronics. He has conducted usability evaluations on, among other things, websites, web applications, kiosks, healthcare devices, stand-alone and embedded software as well as mobile phone, tablet and telecommunications devices, hardware and consumer electronics.
